Protect the product's shape and finish
Flower heads, long stems, foliage, and decorated wreaths have different packing needs. Ask how items are separated or secured, whether they arrive compressed, and what preparation is recommended after unpacking. If retail-ready packaging matters, specify it separately from protective transit packing and confirm any requested packaging change in writing.
Identify the exact configurations in the online wholesale catalog so packing questions refer to a specific product and quantity.
Ask for the details freight planning needs
A product's displayed size does not establish its packed volume or shipping weight. Request the proposed carton configuration for your exact assortment, particularly where large flower heads or trees could make freight volume significant.
- Products and selling units per inner pack and master carton.
- Outer carton dimensions, gross and net weights, and carton count.
- Any pallet requirements, handling restrictions, and shipping marks.
- Destination country, postal code, receiving access, and delivery deadline.
Clarify the delivery basis and responsibilities
Ask what the quote includes and which party handles freight booking, insurance, import clearance, taxes, duties, and final delivery. If an Incoterms rule is used, confirm the named place and applicable version with the quotation. Confirm available routes, carriers, freight charges, and the proposed shipping schedule for your destination and assortment.
Document damage checks alongside your product quality-control criteria before agreeing receiving and inspection arrangements.
Separate dispatch from arrival
A dispatch estimate does not include all transit, customs, and local delivery steps. Share the date goods need to be received and usable, not only the event or selling date. Ask how tracking and shipping documents will be provided and how shipment issues should be reported. Allow time for receiving inspection and preparation before stock moves into retail or installation.
